Xential|script is a module that allows application administrators to perform calculations and set values based on specific conditions using scripts. The module supplements the capabilities of the information tree, enabling the automation of parts in xential|studio that standard functionality does not cover.
Features
Xential|script enables application administrators to create advanced calculations in combination with data sources. Question groups, repeating elements and lists can be populated with information from databases and XML files. The module can be used for:
- Developing scripts: create scripts (for example JavaScript) to automate processes.
- Advanced calculations: perform calculations for fees, VAT and tariff years, among others.
- Setting values: set values based on previous answers.
- Adjusting answers: modify or rephrase predefined answers.
- Repeating elements: use repeating elements based on question groups, database records or XML.
- Activating component settings: enable component settings via scripts.
Display in xential|studio
When xential|script is installed, an additional element becomes available in xential|studio: the Script element. This element can be added to the information tree. Through the element's properties, you can assign a name and write the script.
