The xential|pro module helps you raise the quality of templates to a higher level while simplifying management. This module is ideal for organisations with a large number of templates and components. Xential|pro extends both xential|manager and xential|studio with additional functionalities. This article describes the available features.
Notation elements
Xential|pro adds notation elements to xential|studio that allow you to modify or supplement a notation. The following elements are available:
- Insert external data: retrieve content from a URL and place it in the document, for example.
- Modify date notation: adjust the display of dates to the desired format.
- Modify text notation: perform automatic text operations, such as removing double spaces.
- Write out numbers: automatically spell out numbers (for example "1500" becomes "fifteen hundred").
- Modify phone number notation: adjust the display of phone numbers.
Convert to
The Convert to option allows you to convert an object (template, style or component) to another type, for example from .doc to .odf. Additionally, you can convert a template to a style or component, and vice versa.
Content overview
The Content overview option allows you to view the content of a template, style or component without starting xential|studio. This gives colleagues insight into the structure of a template, component or header/footer, without requiring access to the management environment. Particularly useful for templates with many question screens.
Find and replace
The Find and replace functionality allows you to search for words or phrases in templates, headers/footers, components and users, and replace them with different text. Changes can be made directly without first opening templates in xential|studio.
