Below you will find the changes and improvements in xential version 4.17.

Improvements

As of this version, it is once again possible to adjust the width of columns in the administration environment and to hide columns.
End users can now choose to generate a draft version of a document in DOCX or PDF.
As of this version, PDF exports are always in A-1a format.
It is now possible to use SVG images in templates.

Dependencies

Security updates: various components that xential depends on have been updated to more efficient and secure versions.

Editor development

The Java-independent editor is available in this release. However, we are rolling it out step by step. In July, a number of customers will test this new editor. From August onwards, it will become widely available.
