Below you will find the changes and improvements in xential version 4.16.
Improvements
- Image insertion: end users can now upload and use images in the xential|client. The administrator defines the position and maximum size of an image in the template using xential|manager.
- Digital accessibility: significant accessibility improvements have been implemented in both xential|client and xential|manager. Administrators and end users with disabilities can now operate the application more easily.
- Search experience (fuzzy search): xential now supports fuzzy search, a search technique that finds not only exact matches but also approximately similar results. Minor typos are now tolerated and still return relevant results.
Integrations
- Corsa integration: an issue with dissolved organisations when using the CorsaWHO search functionality has been resolved.
- SharePoint Online integration: file names entered by end users are now extensively validated to reduce the risk of errors. Additionally, an issue with exceeding the threshold when retrieving files has been resolved.
Resolved issues
- Database transactions: large database transactions are now executed in smaller parts, resulting in both improved performance and enhanced stability.
- Events on draft document deletion: the events "APPCLOSING" (SOAP) and "document.deleted" (REST) are now correctly executed before draft documents are removed from the system.
Development
- Java-independent editor: the new Java-independent editor is currently in the testing phase. Quality and reliability are the main focus. More information about the planning and availability will follow shortly.
