Below are the answers to frequently asked questions about our (new) products and services.

xential

When can we expect SCIM?

In the roadmap we presented, SCIM is planned for Q2 2026.

Does the Java-free Studio mean Java doesn't have to be installed?

That's right. xential will then no longer need a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or OpenJDK. The Java-free Studio is built on the zero footprint principle. At the same time, we always look at what each customer and each situation needs to guarantee the software runs reliably.

Will all the new additions, such as Java-free and SCIM, also be offered in the on-premise application? Or only in the SaaS application?

These updates will be available in both the on-premise and the SaaS application. As we communicated earlier, support for the on-premise version of xential ends on 1 January 2027. After that the software will remain usable, but without updates, support or further development.

Until when will you support the current version of xential, and are you still developing it? In other words, when do we have to move to Create?

The xential software will be supported until at least the end of 2030. Until then, we will look at each customer and each situation to decide whether and when you can move to Create.

Create

When will the new software be released for municipalities?

Create will be available to partners and software companies from 1 January 2026. From Q3 2026 we hope to be able to use Create for new customers and tenders. We expect to move the first existing customers over from 1 January 2027. We look at each customer and each situation, together with the customer, to decide whether and when a move would make sense.

Xential and NGX are flexible applications that are easy to adapt to each customer. Won't Create become too unwieldy or too big?

Create is being built and extended with the same philosophy as the current xential application: user-friendly and flexible. The application has a lot of functionality, but we make sure that only the functionality that matters to your organisation is available (visible) in your configuration.

Did I hear correctly that Create with NGX features will be available at the end of the year or early 2026?

Create will be available from 1 January 2026. It includes all NGX functionality, in line with the NGX roadmap at the time.

Will all the integrations we now have with the current xential still be possible with Create?

We will make the existing integrations available in Create as well.

When will Create be a worthy replacement for the current xential product?

Our aim is for Create to be the best option for new customers by the end of 2026. When Create will also be the best solution for existing customers depends heavily on their wishes and needs. From Q2 2026 we will run a gap analysis to map the differences in functionality between xential and Create, and we will turn the results into a roadmap. We keep looking at each customer and each situation to decide when Create is a worthy replacement for you.

Is anonymisation possible in Create?

Just as with the current xential software, we can prepare templates to make anonymisation easier (for example with 'grondslagen', the legal grounds). We may also build integrations in Create with the well-known anonymisation tools.

Will there be a migration tool from xential to Create?

We will support you with the move to Create, and a migration tool is part of that.

Is there a mapping between the functionality in xential and the functionality in Create?

From Q2 2026 we will run a gap analysis to map the differences in functionality between xential and Create, and we will turn the results into a roadmap. We keep looking at each customer and each situation to decide when Create is a worthy replacement for you.

Will you make sure the move from the current xential platform to the new Create environment is seamless? (Without having to rebuild everything)

We will support you with the move to Create, and a migration tool is part of that. We can't guarantee that (complex) templates won't need to be rebuilt.

Tip: don't wait too long to give clarity, because organisations may be facing the end of a contract now and have to decide whether or not to go to tender.

We take this to heart. From 2026 we will communicate clearly about where things stand with Create.

How does the Create preview handle, for example, a different footer on page 3?

It works the same way it does in Word when you convert a Word document to PDF.

Digital accessibility

If you open a document built in Create in Word and then run Assist Pro on it, will the document meet digital accessibility requirements?

If you have built digitally accessible templates in Create (or xential), the documents you build with them will be digitally accessible by default. With the Assist Pro Word plugin you can make any Word document digitally accessible, whether it was built in Create, in xential or in some other way.

What does an Assist Pro subscription cost?

You pay for Assist Pro per user per year, using tiered pricing: the more users, the lower the cost per user.

Number of usersAnnual cost
50€2,400
100€3,600
200€4,800
300€6,000
500€7,200
700€8,400
900€9,600
1,000€10,800

Eformity

Can eformity use the same templates as xential? Or do administrators have to do everything twice?

At the moment, eformity and xential do not use the same templates. Keep in mind, though, that non-process documents are (probably) not managed at all right now. Using eformity for these brings it down to just two places: xential for process documents and eformity for non-process documents.
